The DC Water intents to pre-select manufacturers to provide equipment, accessories, and other named services for centrifugal vertical line-shaft pumps, motors, and medium voltage variable frequency drives (MVVFDs) for use in the Filter Influent Pump Station at Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant in Washington, D.C.
A total of ten centrifugal vertical lineshaft pumps, ten motors and four MVVFDs will be purchased. Each unit is rated to operate at a design flow of 77.1 million gallons per day at 30 feet of head and will be used to pump from the forebays to the filter influent channels in the FADF.
The DC Water requests that interested pump manufacturers submit proposals to be used in evaluation and pre-selection of manufacturers for a complete system consisting of vertical lineshaft pumps, motors, and MVVFDs. Manufacturers shall submit a proposal with all equipment and services, including an alternate choice of MVVFD, as best suited by the manufacturers’ business and expertise.
The DC Water will not purchase the selected centrifugal vertical lineshaft pumps, motors, and VFDs directly but will require the general contractor for the Filtration and Disinfection Facility Miscellaneous Upgrades (FADF) construction project to procure the equipment from the selected pump manufacturer.
December 23, 2015 is the date scheduled for the receipt of Proposals.
