Main and “O” Street Pumping Stations Rehabilitation
The following listing enumerates the major items of work included in this contract for the rehabilitation of two sewage pumping stations at the same location in Southeast, Washington, D.C.:
o Rehabilitate sewage pumps;
o Repair and replace process equipment;
o Replace electrical distribution systems;
o Instrumentation and control upgrades;
o Structural and site improvements;
o Install new HVAC system including odor control;
o Refurbish office spaces;
o Provide a temporary office complex to house the personnel and equipment currently in the Main Street and “O” Street offices;
o Facade repairs and replacement; and
o Repair existing Seawalls.
The project requires completion within 1,080 consecutive calendar days.
This project is estimated to cost between $30,000,000 and $40,000,000.
The Bid Opening Date is January 4, 2005 at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on the date indicated in the bidding document.
Bid Documents are available on November 3, 2004 between 9:00am and 4:00 pm at the Procurement/Materiel Management Department, 5000 Overlook Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20032. Sets of Bidding Documents can be procured for a non-refundable $400 purchase price each, payable to DC Water and Sewer Authority. Payment must be in the form of a money order, certified check or a company check. Documents can be shipped to Bidders providing a Federal Express account number.
The DC WASA Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant is a secured facility. Persons intending to pick-up bidding documents are to contact the Department of Procurement at 202-787-2036 for access authorization.
This project is being partially funded by the Federal Government and is advertised in the open market. A Fair Share Objective for Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises participation in this work has been established.
The Davis-Bacon wage determinations shall apply.
DCWASA’s Owner Controlled Insurance Program will provide insurance.
